  • Another change again for the technical graduates, they are eligible for GDOC branch.
  • The first time we had seen 4 different sets of AFCAT question papers or six different sets of EKT question paper.

Age Limit AFCAT 1 2017 Exam


Technical Branch– Age: Twenty to Twenty six years as on Jan 01 2018 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1992 / 01 Jan 1998 (both dates inclusive).

Flying Branch – Age: Twenty to Twenty four years as on 01 Jan 2018 i.e. Born between 02 Jan 1995 to 01 Jan1998 (both dates inclusive). (Upper age limit for applicants holding valid or  Current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to Twenty six years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1992 / 01 Jan 1998 (both dates inclusive).

GDOC– Age: Twenty to Twenty six years as on 01 Jan 2018 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1992 / 01 Jan 1998 (both dates inclusive).

Education Qualification Required for AFCAT 1 2017


Technical Branch: Applicants would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of 4 year degree qualification from a approvable University or cleared Sections A or B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) & Aeronautical Society of India & Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics or Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. Applicant should have studied minimum Eight subjects mentioned here.

Flying Branch: Graduates (Min 3 year degree course) in any discipline from a approvable University who have attained min 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together or have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level or BE / B Tech degree (4 year course) from approvable University with min 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

GDOC: Graduate Degree (Min 3 year degree course) in any discipline with a min.60%marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Post Graduate (PG) Degree / equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a min. of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together. Post Graduate (PG) Degree in any discipline with a min. of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

Applicants are required to apply online for AFCAT 1 2017 official website at www.careerairforce.nic.in as or when the AFCAT 1 2017 notification comes.

Cut Off AFCAT 1 2017


The Indian air force based on the induction requirements of the IAF, performance of applicants in AFCAT as well as statistics of reporting or success rates at AFSBs, the cut off marks for AFCAT 1/ 2016 held on Feb 21 2016 is 126/ 300 for AFCAT or 55/ 150 for EKT [expected]. We are sure AFCAT 1 2017 cut off marks wouldn’t fluctuate more from the previous cut off.
