IISc Application Form 2017: Entrance Exam, How to apply, Exam Dates

IISc Application Form 2017

The Indian Institute of Science offers IISc Application Form 2017 various UG and PG programmes are done through national level entrance Test. IISc does not conduct any entrance for admitting applicants into its offered programmes. List of courses offered by IISc are:

  • Research [Ph D / M Tech (Research)]
  • BSc (Research) Programme
  • Master’s Programmes {M Tech/M Des/M.Mgt]
  • Ph D (Integrated)
  • External Registration Programmes (Ph D)

Eligibility Criteria Research [Ph D / M Tech (Research)]

Applicants should be having Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2nd class. They should have qualifying marks either in UGCNET for JRF/ CSIRUGC NET for JRF/ JEST 2017/ ICMR JRF/ DBT JRF/ GATE / NBHM Screening Test 2017/ INSPIRE Aspirants (for Ph D).

BSc (Research) Programme

60% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent with PCM (Relaxation in marks applicable for SC/ST category). Appearing applicants are permitted to apply.

Ph.D (Integrated)

Applicants should have B.E/B.Tech or 1st class B.Sc or its equivalent degree along with valid JAM 2017/ JEST 2017 score.

Master Programmes [M Tech/M.Des/M.Mgt]

Applicants who have Master’s degree with 1st or 2nd class or bachelor’s degree or its equivalent degree along with genuine /GMAT/CAT /CEED/GATE score are eligible.

Important Dates

  1. Availability of IISc Application Form 2017:                            February 2017
  2. Deadline to submit UG IISc Application Form 2017:             April 2017
  3. Deadline to submit PG IISc Application Form 2017:             March, 2017

How to Apply?

Application form for UG and PG programme will be accessible in online from its official site. One can obtain Undergraduate or Postgraduate application form from: February 2017 (tentative) onwards.

Application Fee

For Postgraduate programme:

  • General / OBC Rs. 800/-
  • ST / SC / PWD (person with disability) Rs. 400/-
  • Sponsored applicants belong to ISRO, KSRTC, BDA PWD, DRDO, Defence, BARC, NAL, BMTC and CPRIRs. 800/-
  • ERP applicants of all categories Rs. 2000/-

Admission Procedure

Through National level entrance exams

M.Tech Programmes

Applicants would be selected for M.Tech programme based on their GATE score. All GATE qualified applicants will further have to attend an aptitude test organized by IISc.

Master of Design Programme

Applicants need to clear either GATE/CEED exam to become eligible for Master of Design admission. Qualified applicants will be further required to attend a Design aptitude test.

Master of Management Programme

The institute 1st shortlists applicants based on their CAT/ GATE/GMAT/ score. Thereafter, all shortlisted applicants are called to attend Group discussion and interview process.

Ph.D (Integrated) Programmes

Applicants will be shortlisted based on their JAM 2017/ JEST 2017 score followed by an Interview.

Research Programme

Applicants should have qualifying marks either in JEST/ UGCNET for JRF/ CSIRUGC

NET for NBHM/ JRF/ ICMR JRF/ DBT JRF/ GATE Screening Test 2017/ INSPIRE applicants (for Ph D).
