JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling, Rank List, Seat Mattrix, Allocation
JEE advanced counselling is start from June 2017. The date is given in the information brochure. So if the JoSAA counselling is held then the commencement of the counselling of JEE Advanced will be pushed back because the JEE Main 2017 AIR shall be released on June 2017. The result of exam was announced on June 2017 or soon the details or date of JEE Advanced counselling will be announced. IIT Guwahati has released the seat matrix, This year, there are 10575 seats in 23 IITs (ISM included). JEE Advanced 2017 Seat Mattrix:-
Eligibility Criteria: JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling
- Eligible Candidate must have secure acceptable rank in JEE Advanced 2017.
- Eligible candidate either should have secure aggregate of 75% (70% for SC/ ST/PwD)
- Mathematics or Language will be considered. If any of the sub: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Language are not evaluated in the final year (3 year diploma course) then the marks of that subject, in previous year, will be considered to check percentile or the percentage.
- Candidates must check the points below to ensure that they are eligible for admission into IITs and ISM.
- Candidates who failed in one or more subject in the qualifying exam are required to appear for the same in 2017 and must qualify it this time
JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling Procedure
The counselling of JEE Advanced 2017 will be held in online mode. Eligible candidates will have to register or state their options for college or the course. Candidates who will be allocated seat in it will be accepting it, within the due duration. In all, three rounds of JEE advanced counselling will be held. The 4th round of counselling will also be held for admission into IIITs, NITs and Other GFTIs, i.e via JEE Main 2017 score. The step by step procedure of the JEE Advance 2017 Counselling is explained
Online Registration: Firstly, eligible candidates will have to register online mode, in the JEE Advanced 2017 counselling portal.
Online Filling of Choices: all eligible Candidates will enter the desired branch or institute in which they seek admission 2017. Candidates can add or delete, even rearrange their choices they wish to or can also apply for multiple choices. Candidates are advised to choose the maximum no. of courses.
Seat Allotment Result: in JEE Advanced 2017 counselling will done the basis of All India Rank of the candidate in the Advanced paper 2017. It will be done in multiple rounds.
Rank List: JEE Advanced 2017
For intake of the qualifiers, during JEE Advanced 2017 counselling various rank lists will be prepared, the basis of these ranks, admission shall be granted to the candidates. IITs or ISM have disclosed the minimum percentage or minimum marks, in each subject and overall. Eligible Candidates who have surpassed these min. limits of marks or percentage will be allocated the rank. Eligible Candidates can check the (minimum) limit from table below.
JEE Advanced 2017 Seat Allocation
In JEE Advanced 2017 counselling the seat will be allocated on basis of rank but as per the reservation policy of the Govt. of India, which is as:
- OBC: 27%
- SC: 15%
- ST: 7.5%
Person with disabilities (PwD): 3% from all categories including General (Category) 2 seats in every institute are reserved for defence or paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled during war & peacetime operations (DS)
