NEET 2017 Phase 2 Dates, Eligibility, Application, Pattern, admit card
As per the directives of Supreme Court of India or the Central Government on 05.2017, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST NEET 2017 Phase 2 (Under Graduate) 2017 will be conducted by the CBSE, Delhi for admission to BDS Courses in Medical/ MBBS/Dental Colleges run with approval of Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India under Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India.
The AIPMT 2017 / NEET 1 was conducted in May 2017. And NEET 2017 Phase 2 will be conducted in July 2017. (The judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India or Ordinances is uploaded on NEET official site www.aipmt.nic.in)
NEET 2017 Phase 2 Medical (MBBS & BDS) Seats
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test II (Under Graduate) applicable for admissions to following:
- All India Quota Seats
- State Govt. Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts
- Private / NRI /Management Quota Seats in all Private Medical/Dental Colleges and university.
(i) Indian National/Overseas Citizens of India are eligible for appearing in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test II (Under Graduate), 2017
(ii) The eligible candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete age on or before 31st Dec 2017 of the year of his/her admission to 01st year MBBS/BDS Course
(iii) The upper age limit for all eligible candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats in Medical& Dental Colleges run by the India, State Govt Municipal and any other local authorities in India except in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is 25 years as on 31st Dec 2017 of the year of entrance exam
Further, provided that this upper age limit shall be period of 5 (five) years for the eligible candidates of SC/ST/OBC
(iv) The upper age limit for all eligible candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS seats under the control of States/Universities and Institutions shall be as per rules of the State/University or Institution concerned
(v) The eligible candidate must have passed in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology individually or must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together qualifying exam
In respect of eligible candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry or Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying exam be 40% (percent) instead of 50% (percent) for General candidates for persons, the minimum of 45%(percent) marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SCPH/ STPH/ OBCPH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII Exam in 2017 can appear for the entrance test provisionally subject.
(vi) Candidates from the States of J &K Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are not eligible for 15% (Percent) All India Quota seats, as these States had opted of All India Scheme since its inception.
Pattern of NEET 2017 Phase 2
The Entrance Test shall consist of 1 paper containing 180 objective type four options questions with single correct answer from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology and Botany) The duration of test would be 03 hours
Language of Question Papers
Candidates can opt for Question Paper either in Hindi and English.
The Question Papers for test shall be based on a common syllabus by the Medical Council of India
Centres Cities for Entrance Test
List of cities where the NEET 2017 Phase 2 shall be conducted is given in Appendix II.
In case, the number of eligible candidates opting city as center is less, Board reserves its discretion not to fix the center in that City all Candidate should select 3 Convenient City Codes for entrance Test from Appendix II
Reservation of Seats and Admission in Medical/Dental Colleges
- An All India merit list or All India Rank of the qualified eligible candidates shall be prepared on basis of marks obtained in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or candidates shall be admitted to MBBS and BDS courses from the said list only by following Existing Reservation Policies
- 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for the non-creamy layer OBC all candidates only in Central Educational Institutions
- 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
- 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
- All admission to MBBS and BDS Courses within in respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test
- All existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical and Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules or Policies of the State/UT/Institution and University concerned
The CBSE shall provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET 2 on the Board’s official website along with a format for affixing of the photograph. All eligible Candidates are required to download admit cards from the official website or follow the instructions given therein. Eligible Candidate can please note that admit post will not send cards
The Admit Card shall bear the candidate’s Roll No, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Language of Question Paper with Name or Address of examination center allotted
How to apply
All eligible Candidates can apply only online
Online submit of application may be made by accessing the Board’s official website www.aipmt.nic.in Instructions for submitting online application or payment of fee available on the official website
Eligible Candidates can remit fee in the following manner:
a) Through e-Challan by depositing fee in CBSE’s Bank a/c maintained by ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank, State Bank of India or HDFC Bank directly by downloading e-Challan
Form from the official Website www.aipmt.nic.in For eligible candidates deciding to pay through e-Challan, last date for submission of online application is June 2017.
b) Through any Debit or Credit Card using online gateway payment facility
c) Net Banking
For General or OBC Candidates: Rs.1400/-
For SC/ST/PH Candidates: Rs.750/-
Eligible Candidates if required can take the assistance of Common Services Centres for filling up application form; the details of common services centres are given on website www.aipmt.nic.in
