The Top Universities in India 2017 The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore has retained position According to the latest 2017 Asian university rankings by global higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2017 IIS, and Banglore is among top ranked universities in India followed by IIT Madras or IIT Kanpur who have break into the list of top 50th  Asian universities.

IIT Madras jumped 13 (thirteen) places to be ranked as 43rd among universities in Asia in the Quacquarelli Symonds University Rankings 2017 (Asia).

Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings is annual publication of university rankings by QS. The QS system comprises the global overall or subject rankings, alongside 3 independent regional tables Latin America, Asia and BRICS. It is viewed as one of the most widely university rankings.

QS’ list has top 350 universities, 5 are in the region’s list of top 50 (fifty). Last year, 21 (twenty one) Indian universities featured in rankings. This year, 18 (Eighteen) of them have moved up on list in which IIT Madras has moved 13 (thirteen) places up to Number. 43 and IIT Kanpur has moved to the 10th spot from Number. 48.
